LANXESS Showcases Ongoing Commitment to Environmental Protection at CHINACOAT 2009

Shanghai/Leverkusen – The specialty chemicals company LANXESS will be presenting its comprehensive products portfolio at CHINACOAT 2009 (Booth number E2E51-56) at Shanghai New International Exhibition Center on November 18 to 20 2009.

 

At the show, the LANXESS business units Inorganic Pigment Group (IPG) and Material Protection Products (MPP) will be showcasing a range of industry innovations introduced in the past year, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development.

 

LANXESS Bayferrox®, Colortherm® and Chrome Oxide Green product lines

The LANXESS Inorganic Pigment Group business unit will highlight a broad range of pigments from the Bayferrox®, Colortherm® and Chrome Oxide Green product lines. These products feature high light-fastness, good weatherability and chemical resistance, and are in line with the best environmental protection and ecological standards. These pigments are tailor made and used in a wide variety of paint applications, such as marine coatings, industrial finishes, household paints, architectural coatings or colorant applications.

 

The Chinese markets, especially the high end application sectors in the coatings and paint industry, are very important for IPG’s growth strategy in the Asia-Pacific region. IPG is now running two most state-of-the-art facilities in Shanghai, one plant in Jinshan for the production of yellow iron oxide pigments and another in Taopu for the further processing of the world renowned Bayferrox product line.  With this setup, LANXESS can service the market demand of the growing construction and paint industry in China and also in many other areas in the Asia-Pacific region.

Additionally, visitors to the LANXESS booth will learn about a range of biocides under the brand of Preventol® provided by the LANXESS Material Protection Products business unit.  Accompanied with outstanding technical service, LANXESS offers the broad product lines in industrial preservatives, which can be used in the applications of coating, polymer emulsions, antifouling paints, mineral slurries, glues and construction chemicals, etc.

The LANXESS biocides rang for coatings fulfill the key demands placed on such products: low toxicity, non-VOC, non FA, environmental friendly, cost-effectiveness and compatibility with other components of the coating.
